I still can't believe it!

It is like I told someone lastnight
I know this isn't like a pagent
but to me its just as big
and I still can't believe I won
that is right
I won the Oct Cover!
When I heard who our judges were
I just knew I didn't have a chance
not to say that other judges aren't as tough..
well maybe some of them aren't
(btw I HATE judging!)
but these three women judging make me nervous!
Tabyatha1 Baily, VeronicaLynn Parx, and Lisana Rossen
So instead of stressing over it
I decided to just go out and have fun
I had stayed up all night putting together poses
(always a process for me lol I think when my eyes get tired I see things!)
and because I was so tired I forgot I didn't need a full set
(six dots)
for the second pass
and nataurally that was the set I stressed over the most
the mini skirt I decided to have fun and do funky fun poses
anyways I am babbling
because I still can't believe I won!
So I went and made another picture after the contest lastnight
with all three of the outfits in the picture
the gown
the mini
and the babydoll
So here is my idea of a full day
and it coming to an end
a dinner in a elegant gown of black silk
then on to
a evening of disco in a short little mini of gold sparkles
then slipping into
a sheer babydoll that teases and promises
before the night explodes and showers into the light
lost on the feeling of floating in air and space
on such a magical night!

xoxo

wooohoooo

just found out I made the top 10 once again for the mag cover of oct! I think I get more of a thrill out of this because it makes me more proud of my photography work, as I do 99% of all my own work. Congrats to all the others that made it in the top 10, look forward to thurs and what we will do!  lol Here is what I do when I am bored...

Bride Styling Event

Okay first lets do some catching up
This event was actually held last thurs
and sadly I am just now getting around to posting it
I know I know...bad form for me!
all I can say is real life really intrudes when there is a 2 year old demanding attention
she is called diva for a reason lol
well she will be 2 on halloween
thankfully most of the health scares of last month are starting to fade
and loved ones are safe if not totally healthy yet
SO
now that brings me back to this event
I knew when I read it that everyone would be in beautiful big white gowns, and I figured a few black ones for the goth or shock effect
And since we are suppose to be creative, and history is a passion of mine, and Japan, China and Irish weddings were something I did study in my home economy class way back when, I thought it would be fun to do one of those, Japan being my favorite.
Now finding things such as this on SL sometimes is hard, there are plenty of beautiful Asian dresses out there but they didn't have it quite right, and sometimes I am picky (okay most times) about this kind of thing. I finally found a designer that had the correct styles, though they were a bit pricey.
Now as I said at the event briefly, a Japanese bride will wear more than one dress for the night, during the wedding she wears a very simple one, all white complete with a little hood like hat.  But once the wedding is done is where the beauty comes in as she starts adding colors and layers, while removing others.  So below is what I decided to wear, it would be something she would change into from the wedding to walk into the reception, still basic but with a touch of color and flair to come.

An answer to my own question...

Well here it is
I decided to look it up
so it would just be totally correct
as movies and books always put their own spin
on some terms and names..
What is Medieval...
The Middle Ages (adjectival form: medieval or mediƦval) is a period of European history from the 5th century to the 15th century. The period followed the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476, and preceded the Early Modern Era. It is the middle period in a three-period division of history: Classical, Medieval, and Modern. The term "Middle Ages" (medium aevum) was coined in the 15th century and reflects the view that this period was a deviation from the path of classical learning, a path supposedly reconnected by Renaissance scholarship.

And there you have it!

Missed the event tonight...

LOL
Sometimes it never fails
I am totally ready
and then BAM
Reallife intrudes
and I miss the event
So I really don't have a whole lot to report on tonight's event
but it was one I was looking forward to
and naturally one of the few that didn't cost me money
as I already had everything I needed
My closet is full of medieval gowns and such
Really what IS medieval?
Anyways here is a picture as I pout in the moonlight
(LOL)

Pajama's!

Well I shampooed, combed and put my hair up in little sections to dry so it would be all wild in the morning when taken down, slid into my comfy pajamas and grabbed my trusted little stuffy sheep! Slipped my feet into my fuzzy wuzzy sheep slippers and slipped on down the runway to show off my cute fluffy white friends! Sadly we did not impress but we had fun anyways!

Debbie was cute in her pink pajammies!
She was the winner of the styling event!

(sorry there isn't more here, just really not in the mood to report on the pajama event)

A New Contest...

Okay so I get this notice yesterday that there is a new contest.  Queen of Goth, now I have to say I am not much into goth for myself though I do like the looks and individuality that people come up with.  I love vampires, lycans, and all those fantasy looks, but I like to be either glam or "hard" looking personally.  Then I was talking to someone one day and they mentioned glam goth, and explained that goth really can be made into what you think and not in a set standard, which in turn actually defines goth/punk styles.  So I was excited when we got this note about the contest, as I have sadly missed the last couple of styling events where I could have done this.  Not only did it allow me to find a look I would enjoy building but also allow me to play with my photography on this, something I do love doing in a darker nature!  Now I am not saying my work is fantastic but I do once in a while do something I really like, even if it is not up to some peoples standards of "great".  Today was one of these days. So I thought I would share the picture here also that I am entering in the contest, and a few more are added to the slide show also. I hope to see some of yall in the contest and hope all of you go vote, really what is a linden here and there...yep that is all it is, one tiny linden!!

MOUNT UP!

Oh my gosh!!
If you stumble around on CWS you might think it is turning into a dude ranch! There is a BULL...that is right readers you heard me right!
Not just any bull..noooo...but Black Bart, the meanest, ugliest, roughest bucking bull you ever did meet!
And we were asked to put our tender little butts on him and try to hang on! What a sight it was!
Now you would think with all our male models, the women would have been left standing in the dust ...
HA this was so not the case as we showed the men and ol' black bart who was boss!
It was a lot of fun as we all gathered around and cheered eachother on, choking on dust and patting the sweat off our face trying not to ruin our make up...well some of us ...there were a few that decided to try wrestling in the MUD...least they called it mud...I didn't see any cow paddies....I am just saying! LOL
Now I would like to say I held the title for longest time but Aisha Ormega took the lead in the last twenty minutes of the bull riding contest, beating me out by just one tiny second (though it feels like 15 minutes each second!) ending with a score of 102 seconds! Congrats girl!!
yeeeehawwwwwwwwwwww! lol

*whispers*
the biggest sights were the ballgown wearing bull riders...should have been there is all I can say!
*laughs*

Made it!

Well what can I say
hmmm.........
I can say..
I MADE IT!
That is right, classes are over!
Our whole class made it!
Because we are awesome!!
Now here is a little picture, What else would there be!
Now for those of yall in the know
you know this is not what the gown looked like in the beginning
but since class and graduation is done
I decided that it needed to be tweaked a bit!
Much more my style now.

Now on a side note let me apologize
to any readers I might have
as I have failed to keep up here
as there has been many many wonderful styling events and pagents
that I just have not got to post
Sometimes real life decides we just don't have enough hours in the day
I will not go into boring detail
only to say I will try my best to keep up here but no promises
Now I have to brag a bit
and say that I did get an award for the blog
I do enjoy doing it
so it wasn't something I was expecting or even knew about
(maybe I just didn't realize)
but I am glad some were enjoying it

We had a wonderful class
and Svea Perian won Valedictorian
I can honestly say that she is one person
that truly deserves that honor!
A totally selfless, completely helpful, loyal, upbeat person!
I am honored to call her friend!

Well that is all for this post...oh yeah one last picture lol.

Walk like an Egyptian!

That is right, tonight's event was Egyptian Styling.  Now I must say when I started looking around for an outfit for this, I never realized how many different ideas there were out there on what Egyptian stands for. This was a hard one, as this was not easily found, unless you wanted to wear silks. Silks are all good but not the road I wanted to take. I have always had a interest in Cleopatra and the Gods of Egypt. For such an anicent time they were so advanced in so many areas! Now I won't go into any history or facts, because I am sure that is not why you are here! So I finally found the outfit I wanted, elegant, simple but beautiful, well least to me, and I think my crowning glory was not the what was sitting on my head but was wrapped around my shoulders and neck. A snake! That is right, what better protection, what better weapon, what better pet!
Well I hope you enjoyed my little share tonight.  Tomorrow promises to be a hectic and busy day for me as I learn my first fashion styling event, wearing the Nun and Dancing outfits from earlier.  I sure hope yall come out and share the fun with us, I will be watching for yall!

And tonights winners, once again a tie for 3rd!

The Night of the Ball...

As I told yall, we were going to have a Masquarade Ball Styling Event! Sorry it took me a couple of days to give you the highlights! You should have seen all the beautiful gowns! I truly love a masquarade, just something about the mystery of them fills the air! A few of us had on the big ball gowns of a time gone by, while others were more modern with their glitz and glam, and then there were those few that thought outside of the box! I think for me, that person would have been Diana with her fruit giving hat and her special little dance! It was a fun night and if you weren't there, well you SHOULD HAVE BEEN!!!

Now here are the winners of the night!
Normally there is only 1st,2nd and 3rd but there was a tie for 3rd.

It's a Masquarade Ball!

That is tonight's styling event! I am so excited, because for me masquarade brings up visions of swirling gowns and men in knee pants LOL don't ask me why, I guess because masquarades were so popular in the 18th century!  It allowed the women to be a bit more daring under the mask they wore and the men to a bit more forward, something we now take for granted, as our rules are much more lax (thank goodness LOL) Now this is not to say that is the only thing worn to a masquarade as it really allows you to shine as anything you wish to be as long as you are masked. So really the question is, what is really hidden within you, and will you let it out! I can't wait to see!

I will be looking for yall tonight! Come out and join us!
Here is your limo to the stage

Party Style Theme

Well here it was Monday night and time for the models to shine in one of the weekly events. Tonight was Party themed and what a party it was!! It is amazing how each persons personality shines through on the themes, least in my opinon. I think it's one of the reason I enjoy the styling themes so much, it allows me a glimse into the personality of the models. As you can see from the picture below with the night's winners, party means something different to each! Even though there are only four pictured, there were ten models entered into the event, and all a winner in her or his own right! Though as in any contest there always are the best of show! Just take a look at these party goers!

CWS & the blog creating class

OMGosh what can I say about CWS other than it has become like my home away from home and my second family.  I have made some awesome friends and friendships that will always be dear to me.  Everyone is so helpful! I will be forever thankful for that day that Steve101 sent me the invite to the contest and then Anrol for talking me into going ahead and joining the school.  DebbieDoo for her total patience with my wisecracking forever asking question self.

LOL today was very interesting in class.  It was learning how to set up this blog. Between SL being its picky self and some of us not being able to hear voice, RL intruding, and all the other little things poor Tabytha was put to the test for sure! I can't stress how much patiences the teachers have with us and our million of questions asked over and over. The lessons we learn though because of them are invaluable and we give a million thanks in return!

Well that is it for today!
Stay tuned for more to come...
